Mechanic Maintenance Schedule Reminders

TorkSpec's Mechanic Garage feature allows you to keep you AND your favorite mechanic informed of the important auto maintenance needs for your vehicles.

TorkSpec Mechanic Garage is for

  • A Business with a Small Fleet of Vehicles
  • A Professional Garage who wants to provide Better Customer Service
  • The Family Mechanic
  • Anyone who Needs to Keep Track of other people's Auto Maintenance Schedules

Setting Up a Mechanic Garage
Clicking the Mechanic Garage check box in your Setup Garage Page will add your Garage name to the Mechanic drop box list in the Setup Ride Page.

This feature allows other TorkSpec members to also direct their auto maintenance schedule reminders - AutoMinders - to be sent to your Garage Home Page (using the Mechanic Customer Module).

Setting a Vehicles's Mechanic
Once a Garage is available as a Mechanic Garage, set the mechanic for the vehicle in the Setup Ride Page.

Mechanic Garage Customer Module
The mechanic can now see the customer's vehicle with the Mechanic Customer Module.

Snooze

Hides the customer's vehicle from the Mechanic Customer Module for 7 days. The vehicle can be re-displayed on the Mechanic Customer Module using the Module Setup Link.

Hide

Hides the customer's vehicle until the vehicle is re-displayed using the Mechanic Customer Module.

Garage Name and Ride Name

The Garage and Ride names are links to allow the mechanic access to the vehicle's Scheduled Service Page (View Only) and vehicle's Repair Log Page.

Accessing Customer Vehicle Information
Clicking on the name allows the mechanic to view the customer's vehicle Scheduled Service Page and Repair History.

If a repair log needs to added, the mechanic clicks the vehicle's Repair Log Button and then clicks the Add Repair Log Link.

NOTE - The mechanic has until midnight of the day the Repair Log was created to finalize the Repair Log. After that, the Repair Log becomes Read-Only like all the other Repair Log entries.
